State of the City

The State of the City presented by Mayor Dan Pope gives insight to the entire community and creates better communication between our citizens and City Hall, and promotes the positive aspects of life here in Lubbock. The presentation will include topics like public safety, economic development, creating new job opportunities, and bringing common sense leadership to City Hall operations and specifically includes how HR professionals can do their part in the community. Mayor Pope believes it is important to ensure the city is working for the best interests of all Lubbock citizens when tax dollars are spent and long-term decisions are made. Our citizens, neighborhoods, schools, private businesses, churches, and non-profit organizations all have an important role in leading our city towards a better future.
